[/quote] OP suggested she’d put the $30k into a 529. According to an online calculator, that would grow to ~$90k by the time OP’s kids are in college absent any other savings at all. Personally, I would miss out on 3 months of my kid’s toddlerhood if it meant I could provide her with a college education almost debt free but obviously this calculus is different for everyone.[/quote]
