My adult child lives in the UK. I hear from her just about everyday via text or FaceTime. I see her in person four or five times a year; sometimes we go there and sometimes she comes home to visit.
You fly or she flies over every 2.5-3 months per year? I don’t believe that.
Some people are wealthy, dear.
I am wealthy and still do not believe that you and your daughter do that.
I am the person withe the daughter in the UK (not the person with the snide wealthy remark). As I said, sometimes we fly to her and other times she flies to us so that's just twice a year for each of us. I don't see how that is excessive, particularly given that lodging is taken care of.
I was the daughter living overseas (in the UK) for several years and our schedule was much like yours, pp. I talked to my parent pretty much every day and we each traveled to the other 2-3x per year. My spouse talked to his parent a few times a week and visited 1-2x a year. Now that we are back in the US, we still speak every day and visit 4-6 times a year.
