It is illegal to work with official elements of a foreign government on national security matters while a USG employee or military service member. Conflict of interest? It would also need to be approved by Ethics, particularly as she was trying to get paid from her social media advocacy.

If you survey the think-tank scene in DC, there are enough distinguished academics advocating not necessarily a pro-Russian point of view, but definitely pro-negotiation, anti-weapons aid, and anti-American hegemony.  [/quote]
