PK3 in 22-23 - For DCB, we started at 38, went up to 55ish before school started and ended up at 6. For Lamb 14th street we started at 54 and ended at 32 I think. For LAMB SD we started at 18 and got an offer 2 weeks into September. Im not sure why DCB’s waitlist goes up and down so much comparatively.
Tons of siblings. Older siblings get in and pull pre-K siblings to the top of the waitlist.
That doesn't fully explain why it moves so much in comparison to LAMB though, does it? I understand that the sibling preference made the poster's number move down from 38 to 55, but why did the waitlist then continue move so much? Seems like the DCB waitlist moved nearly 50 spots if this poster saw their number eventually go from 55 to 6. People must have been dropping off since DCB only made 24 waitlist offers last year according to the historic lottery data.
