I used to work at Oakridge and still talk to current teachers there. Toxic is the right word. Her moods change on a whim, she has made multiple teachers cry, she is an incredibly poor communicator and has burned through 3 assistant principals in 10 years. She has a clique of her favorite teachers who get preferential treatment (none of who are traditional classroom teachers) Multiple great teachers have left over the years and the good ones who stay are able to block her out. God bless them but I couldn’t do that.
I count 4 APs. The “clique” is also known as The Disciples.
Not uncommon for APs to transition to other jobs. Ours left to become principal.
None of the 4 have become principals. 3 left for lateral moves. One actually went back into the classroom. And this year’s left for another school in the MIDDLE OF THE YEAR. A bs explanation was given to staff and no explanation given to parents.
What was the explanation given to staff?
