Some food poisoning is contagious, in the sense that the organisms can be spread via the vomiting and diarrhea. Gross, but true, which is how it spreads through families or coworkers if you are stricken at work and puking in a shared bathroom. Since symptoms show up after a delay that varies based on the organism you may not immediately be able to identify the source of the illness.[/quote]
