Who buys an EV to go on road trips? It's a car to save gas commuting to work and running errands at this point.
EVs don’t save money on gas. I saw a study that included extra cost to buy plus cost of electric and per mile costs more than a gas powered car.
This is stupid. My electric bill has not gone up w/ my Tesla. I’m an early owner (now on my 3rd) so my Tesla charging is free, and I’ve never had to pay for a repair or any car maintenance, so zero car maintenance since 2016. The range is also slightly over 300 miles, so I can’t imagine a road trip where I’d drive more than 900 miles in a day anyways. The heat thing is also ridiculous bc any decent EV has a heat pump so that’s a non issue.
