Teachers ALREADY work many hours beyond contract hours just to get the BARE minimum of work done. 125 students, one assignment to grade…2 minutes per item? That’s 4 extra hours of work for every assignment. Now, what teacher actually only spends 2 minutes per item? If it’s an English teacher, we are talking 5 minutes, so that’s 9 hours of work, per assignment. That doesn’t even take into account actually PLANNING for instruction, responding to as%hole parents like this, etc. so Yeah. Teacher are already working a LOT of hours past “contract”. No one should be expecting them to do free unpaid tutoring after school on top of that. No.[/quote]
