Yes, again, it's not an indicator of anything other than they are in a likely pool of admits.  My kid was a Monroe Scholar and had two friends receive them, they thought they were out and there it is regular decision.[/quote]

I am sure they would say thank you, unfortunately he went elsewhere because we live close to W&M and mom doing laundry on the weekends wasn't a good enough incentive to attend college that close to home.  Yes both of the other kids got in, the postcard is an almost absolute unless something really goes astray.  So congratulations to your child.[/quote]
