[/quote] It isn't a pre-school thing. Upper schools will invite applicants to things like plays, music events, sports games, etc. as another piece of getting to know the school. A few high schools have "interest events" for recruiting, like a sports day or honors days, etc. The latter two invitations tend to be a good indication of acceptance. The prior ones are similar to open house invitations. More often these types of invitations come after admission and while wooing the accepted students.[/quote]
