I would have her mask and take a home Covid test every day, after three days would consider unmasking. I would also consider masking in your own house so you can continue to go to the ICU. Almost everyone I know who has flown unmasked has ended up with Covid, maybe she will be an exception. I would have probably told her I would make a hotel reservation for her and only see her when masked for the next three days. She is a moron to come visit to help support family in ICU and not mask on the way here. I would consider that in any other interactions with her from now on.
Either you know a total of two people who have flown recently and had bad lack or you're LYING for who knows what reason.
Everyone I know who has flown in the past tree months has come down with Covid if they didn't mask the entire time. So far it's 8 people with Covid who didn't mask, and three people with Covid who did mask but took the masks off to eat on the plane. Everyone else who said they masked the entire time we're fine.
Again your circle must be VERY small. I don't know anyone who has gotten Covid from flying in the past 6 months and we don't mask AT ALL anymore. 15 family members flew here for Christmas. None masked. No covid. Anecdotes mean nothing.
