As another foreigner, you need to get over yourself. This is not about you.

People are being told on here everyday to broaden their dating pool in order to find love and companionship: include " boring men", include older men, etc.
Having a chance to come here is an attractive opportunity to some foreigners.

OP is trying to broaden his pool. One PP rightly called him out for being a hypocrite because he was looking for appearance while feeling frustrated that he thought his appearance was holding him back. However, aren't we all shallow?

The poor guy is trying to improve his chances, and he actually got some good advice. What so offensive about that?

And yes, some foreigners are willing to overlook certain things to settle here. There is nothing wrong with that. Some men are willing to overlook certain things for a pretty woman. The OP would have to overlook certain things for his foreigner wife as well. This is life.[/quote]
