Ugh. Let's see. Probably started with worsening PMS that developed into PMDD. Then I started skipping some cycles and would then have crazy heavy periods that hurt like crazy. I just skipped periods for three months and now for the last 7 days I've been spotting. Before that I actually thought I was peeing myself and went to the doctor where they were like--take some AZO and see if it's red. It was NOT red. So, I wasn't peeing myself, but it sure felt like I was. And I had no infections or anything. I guess that was just a precursor to all the spotting. Bad sleep--but I haven't slept well since I had my kid a long time ago. So, it's hard to tell. But I rarely feel rested anymore when I wake up. I was always fat, but it got worse, and I was hungry ALL THE TIME. So I went on a weight loss med and cut out carbs (for now), and that helps. My sex drive seems to have dropped considerably over the last year or so. Orgasms are still nice, but I just can't find anyone exciting. Like if you asked me whether I'd want a good deli sandwich or sex with a really hot guy, I think I might choose the sandwich. I considered going on BCP to help with some of this, especially the PMDD (although I haven't really had that in the last 3 months since I haven't gotten an actual period), but I have had bad experiences with hormonal birth control of all kinds in the past. Also have been on antidepressants for other things (I'm on a low dose of wellbutrin) and they have made me gain weight. So don't really want to go down that road. I got a special gyn who specifically helps with menopause, and I'm going to see her next month and see what my options are. I really would like my sex drive to come back and to have some more normalcy with my periods. It would also be nice if I didn't want to murder people before I got my period. Before this last lapse, I would be kind of psychotic a 3rd of the month.
