All you have to do is look at a crime map of DC. Nearly all of the crime in Ward 3 is concentrated at near the Friendship Heights and Tenleytown metro stations. I guess it’s just a coincidence.

I also supposed that this group of DC 13 year olds arrested for attempted carjacking in Rockville took an Uber there.

The point is they didn’t take the purple line there.  People argue over the purple line because it’s duplicating well established bus lines, so I guess if you think criminals really hate rush hour traffic on the bus or really like electric trams you might begin to have the faintest glimmer of a point.
