I’m not certain, but I think Wal Mart did discontinue firearm sales.

The rest of your post is nonsense. There is no “magic magnet.”  A government that can’t keep out tons of fentanyl and other illicit drugs will be no more successful at preventing unlawful manufacture and sale of firearms.

Stop blaming inanimate objects for the evil actions of a few terrible people. Look instead to why things like this didn’t used to happen, despite the presence in society of a huge number of firearms, including actual “weapons of war.”
