I lived all over DC (sometimes in sketchy parts) from the ages of 21 - 36 when we had our first child and decided to move out to the suburbs so I've always been very comfortable going out there, but also learned to be hyper-aware of my surroundings. Not sure I still have those instincts, but I'm also rarely going somewhere that's not a pretty popular part of town nowadays.[/quote]
