It's not really about the logos though, is it. An average Kate Spade, Tory Burch or Coach logo on a bag is not bigger than the logo on a Chanel, Dior or Prada bag. Some people just find 'entry level luxury' trashy, like it's so 'gaudy' to spend $300 on a bag instead of $3000. OP, why do you care about such a person's opinion?
But therein lies the circular flawed logic in justifying these bags. Why do you like THIS $300 bag more than the zillions of similarly priced bags without logos, or the similar quality/asthetic bags that are half the price without logos? Presumably, something about the idea of the Tory Burch brand appeals to you. So for those who say "who cares what others say, just buy the bag you like" - are failing to acknowledge that a big part of the psychology that people "like" these bags is because of the brand, and what that brand conveys to others. So yes, of course buy what you like. But if what you like is TB, you probably care about the message your bag is sending to others - in which case, the message it is sending is entry level mall shopper. I say all this as someone who has expensive purses and i have a lot of money to buy whatever I want, but my favorite brand is Hobo - because i genuinely like the asthetic and function, and the quality is phenomenal (last for years) - but no one recognizes the brand or probably thinks anything about my purses because they are non descript.
