In the UK, for example, Orthodox rabbis (and the community there is mostly Orthodox) discourage conversion just for the sake of marriage because they consider that to be a weak motivation-- and one that may not stand the tests of time and inevitable tensions. It's a different story when the prospective convert can discuss a spiritual interest.[/quote]
