In 2016 Utah law changed and now somebody with professional experience in the subject can be a teacher as long as they have a college degree and pass the state test required for certification. In 2018 Utah was ranked 8th in quality of education. In 2022 several Utah high schools were ranked by US news and world report as among the best in the nation. [/quote]
