East Silver Spring elementary school also feeds to Takoma Park MS and Blair. It's a smaller school than TPES/PBES.
OP here. We haven't seen a single house in ESS elementary, so maybe that area is out of our budget?
How about this one? https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/8407-Galveston-Rd-Silver-Spring-MD-20910/37283393_zpid/?
OP here. Lol I wish. Budget is MAX $650 but we'd prefer to stay under $600
I'd keep an eye out for SIlver Spring outside the beltway- e.g., neighborhoods that feed to Flora Singer, Oakland Terrace, Forest Knolls, Rock View, Sligo Creek. Prices are going up there too but you can still find options in that price range.
Agreed, although OP is going to have a hard time with homes zoned for OTES. Prices really went up after the immersion program was implemented, and it would be tough to find something at that price point that's comfortable for a family of five. We also have three kids and were lucky to buy pre-immersion. OP, we have a lot of friends with kids at Rock View and Flora Singer, and all seem really happy with the schools. Singer is close to the Forest Glen metro, so that may be a better option than Rock View.
