Yep, I am MOR registered Dem. I believe I live in a "Trumpy" area. But I don't talk with my neighbors about politics. We talk about dead trees, having to cut grass twice a week, our kids or grandkids, home repairs etc. I have no desire to talk about politics, nor do they. We just get along and treat each other with civility.

I live in another area that is very Republican. There are zero confederate flags and gun racks. Trump signs were taken down ages ago.

OP here. We bought last year and specifically avoided #s 1 and 2. Haven't observed #s 3 and 4 at all. But I guess we all know what you think about the women who live in your neighborhood. Damn.

I don't usually plan to be friends with my neighbors if so wouldn't matter to me.

The only reason I would say anything is if the friend was a POC.

Another liberal Dem here. I was embarrassed about how elitist and insufferable the people were in my Arlington neighborhood. We moved one block out of Arlington in 2021, and it is a totally different vibe. The neighborhood is much wealthier but people have a much more mellow live and let live attitude than in Arlington. When two of my neighbors converse at a gathering, it is like a seminar on liberal and conservative politics. We have lawyers and lobbyists who represent people across the political spectrum but they don't pick at each other about it.
