I agree. It just shows that most of these posters are just as vile and self absorbed to think it is ok. Posters also seem to bypassed that [b]OPs wife was able to celebrate while war and suffering occurs in other countries, but everyone should stop because Ukrainians are at war.[/b] [/quote]

So, let me get this straight: you'd just feel the same if your own sister, brother, nieces and nephews, elderly parents and friends were in a combat area, with homes where three generations live together, and those are being burned to the ground? Your own family being evacuated, moved around in a cold, watching death and being killed?!

Stop pretending that humans should feel the same about a war in a country that they can't even find on a map and the war their own family members are going through! 
We can feel for human suffering, but as humans, we're evolutionary shaped to care the most about our own family (and our nation, consequently).
The fact that OP doesn't feel like the mother of his children is suffering and going through some of the most intense feelings of desperation and fear is telling. She is less than a companion for him. And that's brutal.[/quote]
