It was very, very mean of them, so according to the "F your feelings," "we're not snowflakes" crowd, this means the police are completely justified in not doing their jobs. [/quote] You don’t need to defund them. Just make their jobs so inhospitable that existing officers retire early. Make sure recruit classes are empty because no reasonable person wants to apply. Then the remaining police are stretched so thin they can’t effectively do their jobs. This isn’t about “defunding.” This is about the severe shortage of officers right now. [/quote]
