SF, NYC have both become crime ridden dumps under these policies; you’d think the people here would have learned by example.
Sounds like you just aren’t a good fit for living in a diverse, vibrant city. Maybe you should live somewhere else. A place where people wear white robes and burn crosses might be more to your liking.
Rising violent crime (I live in DC and car jackings are up like 200%), property crime, homeless encampments everywhere, mentally ill people assaulting folks--does NOT make a "vibrant" city.
It’s weird how people who don’t own cars never seem to be carjacked. Has this obvious solution ever occurred to you, trumpie?

Back here in reality, the Arlington County PD's budget went up this year.
+1 this is just copaganda.
And also - since when do police actually investigate routine property crime? I've literally never heard of anyone ever having something stolen and having the cops do anything other than file a report.
No, no, no, you don't understand! Despite the fact that the police lost absolutely zero funding, random strangers on the internet said they wanted to defund the police. It was very, very mean of them, so according to the "F your feelings," "we're not snowflakes" crowd, this means the police are completely justified in not doing their jobs.
You don’t need to defund them. Just make their jobs so inhospitable that existing officers retire early. Make sure recruit classes are empty because no reasonable person wants to apply. Then the remaining police are stretched so thin they can’t effectively do their jobs. This isn’t about “defunding.” This is about the severe shortage of officers right now.

What exactly is making their jobs "inhospitable?" People rightly calling them out for their behavior? Being accountable for their actions?
What's that saying Republicans are so fond of? "If you're not doing anything wrong you have nothing to fear?" If you're planning on being a good cop, what's the problem?
From what I can tell, "inhospitable" means "we can't get away with intimidation, extortion, taking bribes, or indiscriminately beating and killing minorities anymore."
