Janney is definitely closed to OOB this year per DCPS. The reason that Janney doesn't have to worry about count day is that the principal already knows that the school will far exceed the count that DCPS uses for budgeting. DCPS central office uses enrollment history rather than census figures when allocating budget estimates. Unfortunately, this approach doesn't take into consideration the huge baby boom going on in the neighborhood.[/quote]
