- Do the co-curriculum experiences at Madeira help at all? 
- Does going to a slightly "less competitive" HS mean there is less competition from peers for seats at top colleges? Fewer legacies applying ED?

There are a few things about Madeira that really appeal to DD. We want her to have a great HS experience, but we also want to understand the possible impacts to college admissions. She is legacy at a top 10 university but it sounds like legacy might not provide any advantage by the time she is applying.

Her type A parents would have just picked the most competitive HS, but she is way more chill/mature/brilliant than we are.
