There are academic advisors and student mentors there for first-year students from orientation onward, as well as counseling and several academic support centers. And they give generous merit aid to kids with higher stats.[/quote] A man I knew had a rough time in high school- drugs, ended up in juvenile detention, emotional challenges - and he thrived at Goucher.
