I used to read a blog by a guy who was writing a book on stoicism and occasionally blogged about the philosophy. It wasn’t at all what I assumed from the modern meaning of the word “stoic,” it sounded much more well-rounded and humane. But then I’ve been confused lately by both the sudden interest and increase in references to stoicism and the way those mentions don’t seem to comport with the small understanding I got a few years ago.
