When I first started working, 15 years ago, women’s professional clothing had features that now are very hard to find: fully lined pants, 100% wool, shell buttons, hidden zippers, 100% silk etc.

Some brands that had these features then and now typically don’t include: Ann Taylor, Brooks Brothers, J Crew, and Banana Republic. Talbots to some extent.

NP.  I’m right there with you in wishing I had stocked up on these items before they changed. I even have Gap sweaters from 10-12 years ago that I still wear (or would if they still fit).  But I have a really hard time sorting through Poshmark to find diamonds in the rough.  Maybe I’m just not doing it right.  How are you figuring out the appropriate time period a piece was manufactured?[/quote]
