https://www.fairforall.org/the-glasgow-group/ Is this the same group? Is this what Undercover Mother is referring to? Are they in every school in DC? Do they just come and speak or are they working alongside staff and faculty?
I know nothing about this rambling undercover mother, but FAIR is a real and serious group. It’s board includes black professors at Columbia and Brown, a former NYTimes opinion editor, and other serious people as well as, yes, some more populist types but they are by no means as far as I can tell dominant. It views itself as a civil rights group on the spirit of MLK, and speaks out about some aspects of the modern progressive anti-racist Movement that seems willing to accept explicitly, race-based discrimination in the name of promoting diversity in violation of others civil rights (beyond current legal standards) based on overly simplistic notions of equity. My understanding is that FAIR supports policies that promote equality of opportunity, but rejects the notion that “disparate impact” is proof that a policy is necessarily racist. They call out the excesses of some DEI programming as adopted by public and private organizations (example, people being told they cannot do tasks because of their race, losing jobs if they refuse to participate in exercises where they must confess their innate racism, etc. - yes, these things exist and there are some litigations pending) It has developed a school curriculum — which I have not studied myself - but I believe they tout it as both inclusive of the dark side of American History, but puts it in historical context and notes the progress of the American experiment over time. Similarly, they are developing some sort of model DEI trainings. FAIR is forming a DC (really DMV) chapter.
