Can’t speak for colleges, but exploring their interests and finding what they like/don’t like is an important pathway. DC is at LMS and we figured middle school is so full of drama anyway- might as well embrace it! They are enjoying learning how to be part of a team for theater as well as understanding the importance of practicing for a big play. Not sure college is on any of these kids’ minds? It’s very a supportive place which suits us just fine.[/quote]

We talk about college all the time.  Depends on the family/child.  In MS, some colleges offer music/arts summer experiences to give kids exposure to college level music.

There are pros/cons to Loiederman, just like any other school.  The distance can be an issue with the social part if you don't live close by.  Transportation is another issue.  Some families carpool.  They do have an after school free program that helps.[/quote]
