This is OP. While I think requiring masks on a 2 year old is insane because they literally cannot cognitively be forced to do something like that at that age in their development. This sentiment also comes off insane. My four year old happily and cheerily wears his mask to preschool every day. My 6 year old competently and begrudgingly wears her to Kindergarten. It isn't hurting them. The difference is that they understand what is being asked of them and have the emotional regulation to do it, the 2 year old not so much.[/quote]

DP, this is statistically untrue. You can’t run around saying “masks are fine” anymore because we have actual data, stupid. It is hurting them. There are tons of studies now showing cognitive and social delays due to masks, kids not learning what they need to in school because they can’t hear and don’t bother asking, and pretty importantly forcing six year olds to eat outside in 40 degree weather because they aren’t wearing masks is obvious harm. It is child abuse. Full stop.  [/quote]
