ETA, I could see myself buying her former lover a beer, after being introduced.  That's Beta behavior?  No, Beta behavior is feeling threatened by that guy, or any man, and thinking you show your manliness by puffing out your insecure chest and making a scene, or taking it our on her later.  The PP poster is right.  A true Alpha man never even uses that word.  It's ridiculous.  I'll be the one laughing with her about that guy later on, or even asking about their relationship if I'm curious.[/quote]
