Now the principals and staff are calling the cops even over situations that the SROs previously handled or could have mitigated on their own. That's why there are more calls to cops regarding assaults at school in these past 2.5 months alone than all of 2019-2020. So much for preventing the school-to-prison pipeline. You can thank Jawando, Elrich, and the rest of the County Council for that one. Oh, and you can also thank these loonies for adding extra burden on the already overworked MCPS staff to take on the duties of SROs. [/quote]
