So was the parkland officer that ran away from the shooter also familiar with their school?
It was an SRO, so being familiar with the school or not is irrelevant. That was the point

Those people from county PTA, teacher union, or other leadership pushing for dropping the number of disciplining and arresting cases have been celebrating their success. In reality, they have simply made the learning environment harder to manage.

Don't worry since that is what's happening now. Now the principals and staff are calling the cops even over situations that the SROs previously handled or could have mitigated on their own. That's why there are more calls to cops regarding assaults at school in these past 2.5 months alone than all of 2019-2020. So much for preventing the school-to-prison pipeline. You can thank Jawando, Elrich, and the rest of the County Council for that one. Oh, and you can also thank these loonies for adding extra burden on the already overworked MCPS staff to take on the duties of SROs.

I support Elirch and Jawando. They seem to be handling these things fine without the prison guards at school.
Sounds that both of you are hungry for blood in schools. Hiking homicides in big cities demonstrated what will happen in a dense community w/o sufficient law enforcement. It is a pity that most of MC and MCPS leaders do not live in the communities with high crime rates nor attend a high school. Complete senseless.
Cops don't stop crime in schools. If you want fast response put them in the parking lots waiting for a call.
This. Studies show that they actually cause more problems particularly with younger children.
