Arizona is one of a number of red states (also including Kansas and Iowa) that do a really commendable job of making quality higher education accessible to all who are ready for it. It's precisely the sort of thing that liberals claim to support wholeheartedly...but then look down their noses at any place (excellent R1 institutions obviously included) actually walking the walk. It's exactly this kind of nonsense that's paving the way for Trump's return.[/quote]

yes. any state school in florida. (only in-state residents, so if you don't live in FL don't get too excited). Georgia HOPE is also excellent- used to live in GA and know many many students who went to UGA or GT on HOPE.[/quote]
Yeah, the FL / GA model is different than the AZ / KS / IA one--more about keeping the best and brightest in-state than making quality higher ed accessible as widely as plausible--but it's similarly red states walking the blue state talk.[/quote]
