Yeah, the FL / GA model is different than the AZ / KS / IA one--more about keeping the best and brightest in-state than making quality higher ed accessible as widely as plausible--but it's similarly red states walking the blue state talk.

Off topic, but GT in state is the best college ROI in America. Excellent school, free tuition. I have a family member applying there (fingers crossed!) and, if they get in, their entire 4 years will cost about $70,000.
