For what it's worth--we live in Green Valley--while the gunshots are of course alarming and unacceptable--it really does not travel beyond the Shelton. It is nearly insulated to the people that are hanging out there. There are parts of the neighborhood that do not even hear/know what's going on. While that doesn't mean the county doesn't absolutely need to act and get this under control, I think as long as people aren't part of the crowd right there, they don't run in to trouble with it directly if that makes sense. Yes, I agree with this. We live on the other side of Drew and VERY rarely hear the shots but otherwise are largely oblivious to what goes on down there. I honestly love the part of the neighborhood I live in, but i feel for the folks that live closer to the Shelton. [/quote]

Honestly, I haven't been down there at night for a while. Last time we during the summer after a shots fired incident and the police were there, but I am not sure how long they stayed. The shots fired this weekend there was a cop car a few streets over (Not sure what he was there for though). They do not patrol the streets like they used to (as in they used to frequently drive up and down all of the streets looking for trouble). That was years ago though and they no longer do that. The  crime is much more concentrated now IMO .[/quote]
