I give candy to anybody that comes to my house and wants candy, age doesn’t matter… costumes don’t matter. Why would I hoard my candy, it’s going in the trash at the end of the night. I also give out beer and wine. The reality is … be kind to teens. People get mad when they “act like kids” (aka want candy) but also get pissed if they don’t realize they are we kids (aka drink beer). It’s candy FFS.
Yes seriously, it's some cheap candy from Walmart, who cares. I don't understand ppl who want kids to grow up so fast or deny them fun. Esp right now. I love kids of all ages, but we do turn our light off pretty early since ours are little.
I will even call out to teens walking down the street without costumes and saying, “you can get candy here even if you don’t have a costume”. They’re always so grateful, like it’s candy FFS. It’s such a great way to get to know the teens in your neighborhood.
