Our kids are older (sort of: 9, 7, and 5) and we still do relatively early bedtimes for all three, between 7:30 and 8pm. The five year old usually sacks out quickly, the seven year old will read or draw for a bit and and the nine year old will do whatever (play music, draw, read, etc.), but all in their rooms before they actually go to bed. DH and I usually watch a show together and hang out - G-rated couple time - and look forward to it. Occasionally a kid will wander downstairs and need redirection, but we still have plenty of time together.[/quote]
