Am I missing something? The first pp said they have dropped them but went back, picked it back up and continued home. What’s gross about doing that?

Why are you dropping bags of poop?  No.  Carry it with you until you find an appropriate place to dispose of it. This is not hard. [/quote]

In our neighborhood everyone who walks their dogs  and do a full neighborhood loop will drop the bags and pick them up upon return.  It’s only an issue if they don’t ever pick them up going back.  A bag of dog poop on the edge of your property for 30 minutes is a big deal?[/quote]

I do this, but I never leave the bag on another person's property. I usually try to get the dogs to poop on our property before we go for a longer walk. It doesn't always work and sometimes there is a surprise second poop, in which case I might leave the bags tucked behind a tree in the common area away from anyone's property and pick them up when I come back. In a park where there are no trash cans, I sometimes also leave the bags under my car and pick them up as I leave. Honestly, its sometimes a better plan than carrying them, especially if you have more than one dog. That way, they don't get dropped by mistake.[/quote]
