My DH’s aunt has a son who has lived with her his whole adult life and their relationship is deeply toxic. If he goes out with friends she calls him incessantly to make sure he is safe. The man is 40 years old. He is so broken and it really is hard to watch. He finally moved out of state so here’s hoping he can finally successfully date someone and create some boundaries. I imagine if he were to marry his wife would be in the situation you are in. You’ve got to move on OP, you deserve better than this. [/quote]
