They went to camp, but it closed and they brought home covid and then we all had to experience the stress of quarantine without the sick parent for 2 weeks and missing the camp fun they have waited so long for.  We are trying to make the best of it by being creative, but when we as parents are so overtaxed from over a year of simultaneous work + child care due to virtual school, it's hard to come up with NEW creative ideas to make magic for them.

We are looking forward to them starting school in the fall and hope it will go well, but we're weary and nervous about more rolling quarantines, which are really stressful.  I long for pre-covid life where there were so many more opportunities for fun and carefree experiences for kids (and adults!)[/quote]
