This doesn’t seem run of the mill business to me, trust your intuition and your gut which tells you somethings up! Just ask if gummy vitamins are bad for teeth or something dumb like is fluoride free toothpaste bad?
It does to me, it's exactly what the pedi office I work at does. The medical assistants then answer the calls and send a message to the doc, who answers the question and the medical assistant calls the patient back with the answer.
Dang ur ped office doctor calls you at 8 PM from their private cell and tells you to use that line for any questions? I must up my ped game bc I barely get call backs for actual issues lol
Sometimes the docs will make the calls and sometimes a prerecorded message is used. In either case, the patient is not truly getting their private number. Also on my own phone, I sometimes get messages a few hours after they were sent. But I'm sure OP's case is different and this is a case of budding tru love, and when she posts again in a few days she will have talked to the dentist and they will have a date scheduled.
