Men, oth, could be superficial because they held all the power and bank accounts.  Now that things are more equal, they are not happy that women are being just as superificial.

If you lower your bar really low, yes, it would be easy. But, women don't need to do that anymore. Thankfully.  Women can now be choosier.  If you are looking for a good looking guy, who makes good money, is kind, a good person, educated.. those are not easy to come by.. anywhere.   It's like a man who is looking for a beautiful woman, with a hot body, and loves sex, and doesn't mind cooking and cleaning up after him and doing all the chores.    There are very few women who fit this bill, as well.

My DH is generally a kind person; makes decent money; pretty smart, but he's got a total dad bod with moobs and is a bit of a nerd.  I'm not a gorgeous model who always wants sex and is willing to do all the chores and childcare and work.

We both compromised, but we're happy.[/quote]
