Anyone who makes their beds have too much time on their hands and aren't in a position where they've ever had to choose their battles. Try 2 preteens (one who had cancer at age 7) and an autistic 7 YO. I think after experiencing some challenges in your life, you'll come to understand what is truly important in your life. That said, I have a housecleaner that comes once every 2 weeks and I LOVE it when SHE makes the beds.
I'm supposed to apologize because I have 2 non special needs children who make their own beds every day?
nope...but consider yourself damned lucky!!
Believe me, I do. And I spend all of 3 minutes on our bed. If you're cutting it that close in the mornings, just get up 10 minutes earlier.
It would take 3 lifetimes to get my kids to make their beds. 10 minutes earlier would only account for the yelling on MY PART once they ignored my first 89 instructions for them to make their beds. I wont do it for them. I do enough for them and if I do it ALL, they will end up being entitled, spoiled brats.
Are you sure they aren't already spoiled and entitled, since they would disobey your direct instruction? Do you have to yell at them to get them to do the routine household chores they do have?
