Oh man, I hear all of this. Our place is so small and we are both WFH (I get to go back in a few weeks, so there's that). He even does all of our dishes because I do all the cooking, but I'm still just wishing to not have to see each other 24/7 and not have him here allllll the freeeeeeaking time. He says they may never go back to the office though which really stinks.
OP here… if I were still WFH full time, I’d have gone insane by now. Literally could not do it. Way too much togetherness. Plus he had (has) the private office space so when he comes down and gets water or food, it’s so annoying. I’m truly shocked that there’s people that want to do this indefinitely. He loves it because it serves him, but I hate what it’s done to our home lives. I feel like I live in an office. Also I feel like his company has taken full advantage of the fact that he’s home because he works way more and later than he ever has. In a lot of ways, our work life balance is actually worse. I’d give anything to go back to February 2020. Luckily my work life has mostly gone back to normal with added flexibility so that part is great. Plus when I do WFH, he talks my ear off probably because he’s just happy to have someone to talk to besides coworkers on conference calls, but if I’m WFH, it’s to focus which is harder in the office. It’s such a disconnect between the two of us now work-wise.
