Someone who can’t regulate himself enough to avoid shushing his daughter for simply existing in her home isn’t as great a dad as you think he is. That’s just beyond rude.

+1. OP has very low standards. Someone who makes a huge mess in the kitchen daily and leaves it for his spouse is inconsiderate in many other things.

OP here… if I were still WFH full time, I’d have gone insane by now. Literally could not do it. Way too much togetherness. Plus he had (has) the private office space so when he comes down and gets water or food, it’s so annoying. I’m truly shocked that there’s people that want to do this indefinitely. He loves it because it serves him, but I hate what it’s done to our home lives. I feel like I live in an office. Also I feel like his company has taken full advantage of the fact that he’s home because he works way more and later than he ever has. In a lot of ways, our work life balance is actually worse. I’d give anything to go back to February 2020.

Luckily my work life has mostly gone back to normal with added flexibility so that part is great. Plus when I do WFH, he talks my ear off probably because he’s just happy to have someone to talk to besides coworkers on conference calls, but if I’m WFH, it’s to focus which is harder in the office. It’s such a disconnect between the two of us now work-wise.

I feel like I used to work in person with so many of your husbands! They’d leave dishes in the work sink for our poor cleaning crew, talk nonstop on conference calls without headphones and generally expect women to be their work wives.

On the flip side, I’d love to be back in the office.

This is a tiny fridge. There are two adults and two teens eating 3 meals and 1-2 snack a day in my home and we fit a week’s worth of food in our standard-sized cheap-azz apartment fridge.

He needs a HEADSET. Full stop.

Speakerphone? That's so 1990. Nobody wants to hear it at your house, it picks up extra noise which is why he is shushing you, and the people on the other end hate being on speakerphone, I can assure you. There's a delay/talkover effect that is infuriating.

He needs a HEADSET. That solves a buncha problems right there.

Then, stick his old speakerphone up his A$$ and boot him out on it? IDK
