I think for me it's the sound of the name, partly, and the negative association with flightly Daisy Buchanan (dizzy Daisy?). Also, I had a bunch of great grandmothers named Rose; it seems like a common old lady name to me, with a sternness to it. The only Daisys (Daisies) I've known were toddlers in Silver Spring.[/quote]
