If your kids are all in you should be all in too. Support them, For many if not all of them them. This is their World Cup or pro career. Just as pro athletes window is late teens thru early thirties. For most people who love Competitive sports. Their window is age 8 thru about 18. If your kid loves the sport go all in with them make their life the best you can. You cant ever go back once their grown and once they grow up these sports opportunities aren't the same for them. Many kids dream of playing pro as a kid almost none make it. The same is true if your kid dreams of being a scientist I encourage you to give them every experience possible within your means to help them achieve it. Nothing your kids love should be labeled " JUST A" game or science ,or Boy Scouts, or band. If they have a passion its your job as a parent to help and support them to get the best experience possible. Win , lose , succeed, or fail be all in with your kids no exception.
Ok then! Time for Prozac for you? You don't see it, most self-centered people don't. Your kids hate you and will hate you forever.
Thanks Dr. Where do I pay co-pay ? What time will my prescription be ready? My kids love me because I give them any and all the support they want and need to flourish and live their best life ever.
You are clearly one of the insane sports parents! Nobody loves you nor them. They are not Olympic athletes and their window is not 8-18! Most kids don't dream of playing pro sports! Only most insane parents dream of their kids playing pro sports. Hence they rob their kids of normal parents bcs, like you, they become insane nightmare sports parents! It is JUST a game.
As a parent I don't care if my kid wins or loses. I SURE AS HELL CARE if I have made time and space in my calendar for a whole weekend tournament that is then called off because some other adult didn't bother to. It's also a team sport. If your family doesn't understand that you have a responsibility to others in this game, I suggest a switch to tennis.
